President - Paul
Saltzgiver Paul is a long time member of the Rockford musical
community. He is a graduate of Rock Valley College and
Northern Illinois University with a B.A. in music Education with
trumpet as his major instrument. He is founder of the First
Brass Ensemble and co-founder of the Rockford Wind Ensemble.
Paul currently works as Educational Services Representative for
Guzzardo Performance Music.

Jeremy Davis
Jeremy Davis graduated from Hope College with a degree in Music
Education in 2003. As a native of the Rockford area, Jeremy
has performed with the Rockford Concert Band, Kishwaukee Valley
Community Band, Rock Valley Community Band, and the Mount Morris
Kable Band. He currently teaches Band and Jazz Band at
Winnebago school district.

Ericka Sheely
Ericka Sheely is a 1991 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University,
with a degree in Music Performance. She is employed by
Milestone, Inc. as a Residential Service Coordinator and QMRP.
She currently plays with the Rockford Concert Band and Rockford Wind
Ensemble.

Treasurer -
Doug Hoffman
Doug Hoffman is a 1974 graduate of Auburn High School. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education Degree at John Brown University in Arkansas and his Masters of Education from National Louis University in Evanston. In his thirty years of teaching, all in the Rockford School District, he taught for six years at Wilson Middle School, seven years at East High School, and is in his seventeenth year at Auburn. He has served the IMEA (Illinois Music Educators Association) as the District VIII Senior Band Chairman. He was a finalist for the Those Who Excel award. Mr. Hoffman is a trumpet player. He has played with the Rockford Pops Orchestra, the Beloit-Janesville Symphony Orchestra and the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. He currently plays with the Rockford Concert Band, the Rockford Wind Ensemble, the Tower Brass Quintet, and the Gardenia Big Band. He and his wife, Cathy, live in Roscoe with their son, Ryan, who is fourteen.

Conductor - Kevin
Jensen
Mr. Jensen adds conducting the
Rockford Wind Ensemble to an eclectic career in music--one that has
included a diverse mix of instrumental and vocal music: jazz,
musical theater, computer and MIDI technology, arranging and
writing.
He earned a Bachelor of Music degree
from Illinois State University in both instrumental and choral music
education. While at ISU, he served as drum major of the
"Big Red Marching Machine" and staff arranger for the
School of Music. He studied composition with Roque Codero.
Mr. Jensen is an acclaimed composer
with nearly forty commercially published works and over a hundred
freelance commissioned works to his credit. In 2000, he
collaborated with Mike Webb to create a full-length musical,
"The Storyteller's Story", based on the life of Hans
Christian Andersen that was produced as part of Rock Valley
College's popular starlight theater series.
Mr. Jensen began his teaching career
in Eureka and Batavia, IL. Since 1990, he has taught music and
drama at Harlem High School in Machesney Park, IL. His wife,
Amy, teaches choir and piano classes at Hononegah High School.
They have three children.

Director
(Rockford Concert Band) - Mark Rose
As a long time Rockford resident, Mark Rose has conducted or performed with just about every wind band, symphony orchestra, big band, pit orchestra and instrumental group in the Rockford area. Mr. Rose is currently the Music Director and principal conductor of the Rockford Concert Band and also conducts the Rock Valley College Old Towne Band and the Bill Engberg Orchestra. His die-hard fans can catch broadcasts of the Old Towne Band at 10:00 PM on Cable Channel 20 on random weeknights throughout the year. Mr. Rose holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music, graduating number one in his class, and a Master of Science in Music Education degree from University of Illinois.

Master - Brad Heddinger
Mr. Brad Heddinger is Director of Bands at Belvidere South Middle
School. Mr. Heddinger received his BA in Music Education from
the University of Northern Iowa in 1989. Mr. Heddinger is in
his 18th year of teaching bands. He started his career as band
director for the Harris-Lake Park Schools in Lake Park, Iowa.
Mr. Heddinger has also taught bands in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and
Garner, Iowa. Mr. Heddinger was a middle school band director
for the Cedar Rapids Community School District in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
for 8 years before coming to Belvidere, IL in 2002.
Mr. Heddinger has performed on trumpet, clarinet and percussion
with the Marion Community Band from Marion, Iowa. Mr.
Heddinger also has extensive experience in the Drum and Bugle Corps
activity with such groups as the Madison Scouts from Madison,
Wisconsin and the Nite Express from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mr.
Heddinger has also performed with the Eastern Iowa Brass Band from
Mount Vernon, Iowa. Mr. Heddinger is currently a member of the
Rockford Wind Ensemble, Kishwaukee Concert Band, and the Rockford
Summer Concert Band.
His wife, Dianna, teaches Band and General Music in the Rockford
School District #205.

- Dianna Heddinger
Dianna currently teaches in the
Rockford
School District
as a general music teacher and band director at
Eisenhower
Middle School
. Mrs. Heddinger has
taught for two years in
South Dakota
, eleven years in
Iowa
and six years in
Illinois
for a total of nineteen years.
Mrs. Heddinger received her Bachelor of Music
Education Degree from the
University
of
Northern Iowa
and her Masters of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music.
Throughout her career Dianna has held memberships in the
Cedar Rapids Municipal Band, Marion Community Band, Eastern Iowa
Brass Band, Kishwaukee Valley Community Band, Rockford Community
Band and the Rockford Wind Ensemble.
While a member of the Eastern Iowa Brass Band, Dianna helped
to create a youth brass band for talented brass and percussion
students in eastern
Iowa
. She served as the
conductor of this group for two years.
Mrs. Heddinger was also a clinician with the Coe College
Junior Concert Band working with middle school brass students.
Dianna lives in
Loves
Park
with her husband Brad who is director of bands at
Belvidere
South
Middle School.

Member - Herbert F. Allen Herbert F. Allen serves as Chief Executive Officer and Managing
Partner of MainStreet Financial Group. In practice
since 1991, his personal practice includes financial advisement in
the areas of executive business planning, retirement strategies, and
legacy planning.
He holds advanced graduate degrees in human services, management,
and psychology. He is a Fellow of the Life Underwriters Training
Council, a chartered Retirement Planning Specialist, and a Certified
Senior Advisor.
Herb is a professional member of the Financial Planning Association
and a five year qualifier of the Million Dollar Round Table. He is
also a member of the International Association of Registered
Financial Consultants and holds the designation Registered Financial
Consultant. Herb is an Investment Advisor Representative with
InterSecurities, Inc.
Currently, Herb serves as a State Director of the Illinois
Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is past
president of the Rockford Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors. He also is a very active member of the Rockford Symphony
Orchestra, Rockford Dance Company as well as being on the board for
the Rockford Wind Ensemble. He resides in Rockford with Debra,
his wife and professional partner, and their 15 year old son,
Timothy.
